# Download Maps as Images

You can download the current map as a PNG image. To do so:

1. Switch to the map you want to download as an image.
1. Click on ![Download](../_static/images/WorkingWithStoryMaps/Download.png) (**Download**) in the [header](../UserInterface/Map_Area.md).
1. Choose where to save the image (if prompted to do so; otherwise the image is saved in your default download location).
