# Installation for On-Premise Systems

For more detailed information on installing extensions, refer to the [Microsoft documentation](https://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/docs/marketplace/get-tfs-extensions).

If you are using an on-premise installation, you will need to [download the SpecMap installer](http://specmap.cc/extension/bin/techtalk.specmap-tfs2015.vsix) directly from the SpecMap website.

Once you have downloaded the .vsix file, follow [these steps](https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/vsts/marketplace/get-tfs-extensions?view=tfs-2018#install-extensions-for-disconnected-tfs) to install the extension on your server.
