# Refinements and Child Items

To refine a story on the map, child items can be added directly to a card on the map to slice out smaller increments:

Child items can be then dragged on the map to prioritize them individually:

The status of all child items (mapped, completed) is displayed on the parent card, providing you with an overview of the current status at a glance:
